A shooter focused on killing big
War Zone: Fight For Homeland is a free first-person shooter with a military theme set in a modern conflict. The game sees the player using machine guns, rockets, and airstrikes to take out oncoming enemies. The more enemies you kill, the better your score.
The game is outwardly similar to titles like Call of Duty 4 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. However, as a free title, it is pared down for casual, single-player use. This makes a simpler game, one easier to pick up for quick play.
Gun down your enemies
War Zone: Fight For Homeland puts the player in control of a gunner defending an area in a war zone. As you watch from a first-person perspective, enemy forces will appear, including armed men, vans, helicopters, ships, and other such targets. Your job is simply to gun down all enemies and move on to the next match.
Machine guns and rockets
The player has two main weapons at hand. One is the machine gun, which provides rapid fire but is comparatively weak and needs to be periodically reloaded (this happens automatically but slows down the game). The other is the rocket launcher, which is much more powerful, but you only have limited shots. You can also call airstrikes.
Scoring multikills
War Zone: Fight For Homeland rewards players for how many kills they score in a single shot. You can boost your points by shooting explosive drums to take out a group of soldiers or destroy an enemy ship before it deploys its men. Big kills are tagged "multikill," "megakill," or "unstoppable," depending on size.
Limited enemy types
Like a lot of games themed around real-world warfare, this title has a limitation in that the enemy varieties get repetitive. Mission after mission essentially involves taking out the same helicopters and vans against a few generic background settings.
